“….for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Isa 56:7 (KJV)
Prayer
Not since WW II has our country been in a more difficult place spiritually. Please join us Friday nights from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm to pray for the nation, our civic leaders, and the church.
At IHOP Church we are committed to being the House of Prayer that Jesus said His house would be. In the book of Matthew, Jesus repeated the above scripture from Isaiah when He said;
“It is written, mine house shall be called an house of prayer.” [Mt. 21:13]
In the Gospel of Luke Jesus said, “Man ought always to pray, and never give up.” [Luke 18:1]. He repeatedly encouraged us to “ask”, promising that if we would ask, we would receive.” [Mt. 7:7,8]
Jesus taught us the importance of prayer, He modeled a devoted prayer life, and He encouraged us to be persistant in our praying.
Now, more than ever, God’s people need to be fervently praying for God’s Kingdom to be manifest and for His will to be done on earth. [Mt. 6:10]. We live troubled and confused world that needs God. If there was ever a time for prayer, it is now—for ourselves, our families, our friends, our communities, our nation and for our world. If God’s people will pray, God promises to bring healing and revival.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14
